MEST Integration Financial Business Partner

About the role

Our Centre of Engineering partners with the Royal New Zealand Navy to provide complete engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the entire fleet.  This role reports directly to the Fleet and Asset Programme Manager and indirectly to the Chief Financial Officer which will see you leading all financial related activities across the Asset and Fleet Programme, providing reports, analysis and advice on financial performance and position of the programme.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of Fleet and Asset Programme financial process and controls as well as reporting and forecasts
  • Development of financial management models and supporting tools.
  • Support and promote financial understanding among senior staff
  • Build strong working relationships within the Fleet and Asset Management Programme and wider team.


About you

You have a degree in Accounting and/or Commerce and are a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (or equivalent). Your comprehensive communication skills enable you to effectively engage with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and you have a proactive approach to problem solving and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You bring excellent analytical and report writing skills with advanced spreadsheet skills and knowledge of ERP systems, as well as experience reporting into a group/region with complex accounting systems and processes.
