About the role


This is a newly created role, reporting to the Head of HR and supporting a business undergoing significant change.  The Human Resources Manager will partner with the business to ensure an optimised employee and line leader experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training & development, reward, change management and other value adding projects, ensuring compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.


You will deliver exceptional HR business partnering, contributing to the achievement of the BU goals through optimised people and organisational performance; provide HR advice, support and solutions in a timely and professional manner and coach, support, mentor and guide BU Leaders in the application of HR policies and practices and challenge current practices where required.


You will manage the end to end recruitment and selection lifecycle, from job brief to attraction campaigns, interviewing, pre-employment checks and offer.  You work closely with your stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the recruitment services and ensure that the model enables proactive pipeline activities and initiatives to source critical skill sets for current and future needs. 



About you


You will be a motivated, proactive and experienced HR professional with strong business acumen and exceptional stakeholder management skills.


To be considered for this role, you will have:


  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the Aviation industry, but this is not essential;
  • Tertiary HRM qualifications, or equivalent years of experience;
  • Extensive leadership coaching experience;
  • Experience leading a business units through significant change;
  • Extensive experience in the resolution of complex employee relations issues;
  • Proven ability to establish recruitment needs and deliver the full cycle of the recruitment process, from developing Position Descriptions, advising and designing appropriate selection methods;
  • An ability to interpret legislation, regulations and Awards, together with policy and procedure and providing high level HR advice;
  • Solid working knowledge across HR disciplines including coaching, change management, employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, training and development, talent management, and organisational development;
