Digitalisation Project Engineer
The role can be based at any one of the following office locations:
Newton (Nottingham), Birmingham, or Wallington (London)
Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

 

About the role

 

Here at Babcock International, we’re looking to recruit a Digitalisation Project Engineer on a six month fixed term contract.

 

The key purpose of this role is to identify, develop, deploy and support critical digital processes and information required by the business to operate more effectively and efficiently. Key elements are the identification of current manual processes, determine impact and benefits, develop new digital methods and deliver effective digital information solutions.

 

Further responsibilities include:
• Manage milestones as well as supporting resource deployment according to agreed project objectives.
• Determine and prioritise information process analysis to create a new suite of sustainable and repeatable digital information and supporting processes which are demonstrably more efficient.
• Develop key relationships contributing to digital information project objectives, forming solution teams and influencing process change where beneficial to the business.
• Work with Babcock IS personnel to develop business cases and delivery platform for the critical management information and scorecards.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will hold Tertiary Qualification in IT, Science or Engineering, and have experience of operating within Industry sectors i.e. Construction, manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Petrochemicals, Rail, Utilities.

 

You will have previous experience in developing digital processes/workflows, preferably in Viewpoint although other platforms will also be considered including Project Wise, SharePoint and BIM 360.

 

You will also have experience in the digital transformation of processes and workflows. BIM (Building Information Modelling) would be an advantage.

 

What else do I need to know?

 

The role can be based out of three sites; Nottingham, Birmingham or London.
