Here at Babcock International, we are looking for you to join us in Andover, as a part of our Defence Centre Business Unit; where you will be responsible for developing the mobilisation solution, for the outsourcing of a large and complexed service that will be delivered across multiple UK locations.

 

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for you, to have demonstrable experience of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling mobilisation programmes, including risk management, budget and resource allocation procedures and governance mechanisms. Ideally, we would like you a solid understanding of Defence or Emergency / Regulated Services Training.

 

What will you be doing?

•    Undertake detailed analysis of the customer’s requirements and develop a mobilisation strategy and the supporting detailed transition plan.
•    Following the bid process, provide:
o    Lead the development of the service mobilisation solution.
o    Contribute to the development of innovative and competitive capture-plans.
o    Develop Value-for-Money means of meeting specified requirements.
o    Support negotiations with potential customers and partners.
•    Define the governance frameworks required to deliver:
o    Successful transition of the service
o    Steady state operations
•    Identify the required resources to deliver the service mobilisation plan and to manage the contracted services
•    Build open and effective relationships with all key project stakeholders 
o    Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key external training stakeholders (customers, partners, suppliers).
o    Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. HR, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain providers, Legal, ESG) to plan and design the programme of activity required to mobilise and transition the services
•    Proactively manage and work with stakeholders to mitigate risks & issues that may jeopardise successful delivery, escalating where necessary
•    Manage work in line with the Company’s corporate governance policies, processes, procedures, including those related to Health and Safety.

 

The experience you’ll bring 

•    Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant industry experience.
•    A demonstrable and broad base management experience.
•    Demonstrable experience of authoring plans and documentation suitable for use by the customer.
•    Uses long-term innovative thinking and networking to stimulate new opportunities or solutions
•    Able to work within a structured programme and project management process.
•    Ability to write cogent, succinct, articulate mobilisation and transition solutions as part of an effective bid process.
•    You must also, be able to satisfy security checks and achieve SC Clearance.
