This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Supply Apprentice. 

We are looking for someone to join us and complement the friendly, motivated, energetic, and supportive team in the role of Supplier/Assistant Armourer/Contract Admin, deemed for ease as Supplier Plus. As an Apprentice Supplier, you’ll be part of the Supply

Support Team providing support to RAF Boulmer and its parented units which are based country wide.

This role requires regular travel to Holyhead on a weekly basis alongside remote working arrangements and access to any Babcock Hub.


Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a Supply Apprentice who is diligent, a good communicator and tenacity to join a busy team within the Supply Section at RAF Boulmer.


What will you be doing?
Your main tasks will include 
•    Operation of the station supply Materiel Account currently operated under automated data processing (ADP) system MJDI.
•    Assisting in maintaining adequate records of stores accounts which should reflect all supply activity involving the receipt, issue, storage, loan, disposal or transfer of equipment, in accordance with the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF).
•    Ensuring that MOD accounting requirements are applied to all Technical and Barrack inventories (AinU’s) iaw the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) and Air Logistics Instructions (ALI’s), including an annual programme for independent checks for all Technical and Domestic inventories.
•    A supply specialist in all aspects of supply accounting support (after training, both local and formal) with regard to RAF Boulmer, it’s parented units and relevant support agencies. 
•    Assists in the maintenance and operation of Supply Control and Accounting activities in support of the T101 Radar and TPS77 Radar Fleet which are located at RRH’s Brizlee Wood, Benbecula, Buchan, Saxa Vord the Falklands and a Det in Cyprus.
•    Provide supply services to Parented units which includes the management of all aspects of supply related functions which are documented in detail within a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and signed by the Supply Manager (BOU) and Supply Supervisor (Spadeadam (SPD)) from the two differing contracts.
•    Assists in the Low Value Purchasing (LVP) process including usage of the CP&F system plus Electronic Procurement Card (EPC) iaw relevant regulations.
•    Routine use of Outlook to manage emails and calendars, and file and folder management.
•    Training will be given which may comprise internal and external residential courses.
•    Operates within the Receipts & Delivery facility which includes packaging and a collection service for stores issues and returns including priority deliveries, Barrack items for Service Family Accommodation, personal effects, parented units’ requirements and the operation of the current computer related tracking equipmentOperates the delivery and collection service for stores issues and returns which includes parented units and priority deliveries.


The experience you’ll bring 
You should have the experience in the following 

•    A good standard of general education.
•    Computer literacy in Office 365 and Windows 10.
•    The ability to adapt to utilising MOD computerised systems i.e.: MOD Net/Share Point/MJDI etc, which are regularly upgraded and updated.
•    Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and to problem solve.
•    A willingness to qualify and be regularly tested on any course which is a requirement of this position.
•    The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.  

•    Knowledge/understanding of MoD administration and IM processes and the MoDNet system.
•    Ability to read and interpret MOD and Babcock related documentation.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint (training will be given)
•    Driving license (full).
