ILS Technical Officer

About the Role

This role is anything but ordinary and we are looking for an ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) expert to join our high-performing and expanding Counter Chemical Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CCBRNE) contract! The role will see you provide ILS subject matter expertise for the Introduction Into Service (IIS) of CCBRNE equipment. Not only will you be responsible for the delivery of Engineering and Maintenance IIS data deliverables, you will play a key part in managing relationships with OEMs, operating units, Joint Logistics Command (JLC) and other Commonwealth contractors. Some of your daily responsibilities could include:

 

  • Initiate and progress Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and develop engineering changes.
  • Develop Introduction Into Service contract deliverables utilising:
    • CMTL (Configuration Management Tool – Land) – initiate and Manage ECPs, develop tasks and incorporate technical artefacts into the CMTL database.
    • Manage the ECP process and ensure configuration control of all artefacts in accordance with Defence bench level instructions.
    • MCCAT (Mc Catalogue) – utilise MCCAT to codify systems and related parts to then develop complete equipment schedules.
    • MILIS – catalogue codified NSNs in accordance with the electronic supply chain manual.
  • Create and develop EMEIs (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Instructions), ILSIs (Integrated Logistics Support Instructions), CESs (Complete Equipment Schedule), UHB (User Hand Books), NTIs (Non Tech Inspection).
  • Provide input to Safety Case Reports, Laser Safety papers, LED Safety Papers, System Safety Working Groups, Disposal Plans, Hazard Analysis, Risk Log analysis.
     

About you

As an ILS technical expert, you will thrive on complexity, welcome a challenge and take a proactive approach to problem solving. You will strive to deliver the best outcomes to our customers and pride yourself on your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. You will have a passion for the Defence industry and possess the following:

 

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
  • 5 years of proven experience in undertaking ILS support and analyses roles, preferably in a Defence environment.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering, and more specifically, how ILS fits within Product Life Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of ILS processes / procedures.
  • Experience and previous use of Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS).
