About the Role

As the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer is expected to perform engineering work involving ingenuity and judgement, reporting to the Program Engineering Manager and the ILS Manager.

You will make ILS related technical decisions for the Mission System Design and be accountable for all aspects of their work scope within the boundaries of their own expertise. This role will also support the ILS Manager in the development of the Support System solution.

Key responsibilities will also include:

    • Have a good understanding of the design, analysis, and support techniques associated with the core knowledge area and a solid awareness of techniques and technologies that may be applied in the knowledge area.
    • Have an excellent understanding of ILS analysis techniques and be responsible for the preparation and checking of ILS artefacts/documentation .
    • Have an excellent understanding of the elements required to support a Mission System solution
    • Have an understanding of requirements management and interface management
    • Be familiar with and comply to statutory regulations associated with the design, supply, support and disposal of equipment in accordance with the relevant state/territory of the customer/user.
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through engagement with the business and customer.


About you

You will previous experience undertaking ILS engineering roles, preferably in a Defence environment.


You will also have:

  • Experience of customer (internal or external) interaction
  • Business Awareness
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A positive attitude and work ethic
  • A desire to implement continuous improvement activities
  • Demonstrable ability to use initiative and prioritise workload
  • Knowledge of ILS engineering principles Analytical and problem-solving skills


Lastly it would be desirable if you have previous ILS engineering experience in either Marine / Defence / Defence Industry and previous experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
