HR Systems & Data Analyst

About the Role
 

Babcock is currently on a path of rapid growth and expansion, and we are looking for a Systems and Data expert to be part of our exciting journey! In this newly created role, you will be responsible for supporting our HR function and the broader Babcock Australasia business with all things analysis and reporting. The role will see you tell a story with the data you collate which enables you to make positive recommendations to the business and help us achieve our strategic goals. Responsibilities could include:
 

  • Manage and implement relevant HR metrics, analysing data and statistics for trends and optimising and implementing new data processes and systems;
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating existing HR systems processes / data flows and to provide recommendations or alternative methods on how they can be made more efficient;
  • Collect data on human resources, payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, employment records, and exit interviews to assist Babcock Australasia in providing an overall positive people experience;
  • Compile reports for use by HR Managers to presents to the senior leadership team;
  • Compile, present and disseminate business information to line managers, based on effective HR administration services.
     

About you
 

You will have an analytical mindset and thrive in an ever-changing environment. You will challenge the status quo and take pride in recognising and implementing process improvement initiatives across the business. You will be a problem solver by nature and always strive to deliver. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders at all levels and possess the following:
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (in business analysis, computer science) or comparable industry experience;
  • Experience in a data analyst and HR system role, actively engaging with the business to understand data requirements and issues;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and tools to assist with creating spreadsheets and presentations;
  • Experience working with Success Factors (Desirable);
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and/or relevant Talent Management software (Desirable).
