Engineering - Internship (Undergraduate)

Our Internship Programme has been designed to grow Babcock’s capability within Defence and create a pipeline of talent to power the future growth of our business.


You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst completing your tertiary studies. We are looking for students in their penultimate year who are available to commence in November 2022.


The disciplines we are looking for include:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering


The programme is 13 weeks full-time and will provide you with a range of development activities that will see you grow and strengthen your technical and soft skills over the summer break.


You will receive exceptional mentoring and hands on experience from our team of experts including your buddy, manager and business unit directors.


We are committed to investing in your future and at the successful completion of your internship there is the possibility of part time employment in our team while you finish your qualification, where you will have the flexibility to adjust your days each semester and be supported in balancing your studies whilst gathering valuable work experience.


To be considered you will:

  • Be in your penultimate year of relevant studies
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrate outstanding initiative and be able to prioritise well
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Be able to commence our programme on 21st November 2022
