Technical Standards Lead

About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Technical Standards Lead.

This is a tactical and operational key safety and standards role to ensure the highest level of Airworthiness and Maintenance standards are met within BMCSOFF Airworthiness and Maintenance Organisations.


• Obligation to obtain, read, understand and safety information to ensure compliance with external, internal policies, procedures, standards and work instructions applicable to their role
• Contribute and attend other Airworthiness and Maintenance departmental meetings.
• Manage the Technical Safety Review Board (TSRB) included report, agenda, attendees and minutes.
• Manage departmental safety reporting included the TSRB report.
• Manage departmental safety Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including Tier 2 assurance controls and corresponding plans and objectives. Assisting on the development of annual SSHEQ objectives;


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need experience in aviation maintenance and/or airworthiness.


Would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
• Knowledge in aviation maintenance and/or airworthiness.
• Understanding of Safety Management Systems and the interaction with Continuing Airworthiness
• Ability to carry out Human Factor Error Investigations in a Just Culture
• Understanding of the EASA and UK Aviation Regulatory Legislation Requirements

What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
