The role
As a Electrical Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Become a subject matter expert within our Workshop team, by playing a vital role in conducting services for ND fleet and equipment, including vehicles, modules, equipment, and generators, in line with periodic tests. This will also include fault diagnostics and repairs where required and within your personal capabilities.

Day-to-day, you’ll Prioritizing services to meet weekly schedules and promptly notifying the supervisor of any potential delays.

• Perform portable appliance testing for New Dimension equipment and site appliances.

• Ensure maintenance of electrical wiring for modules and vehicles.

• Lead electrical repairs on site, supporting building maintenance and the wider site operative team.

• Thoroughly complete service documents within allocated timeframes.

• Ensure accurate completion and submission of all service documents within required timeframes.

• Verify that all New Dimension assets received meet correct specifications and quantities, accurately tracking them into the warehouse and ensure appropriate storage.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week role and is based on site at Bardon. 

Essential experience of the Electrical Engineer

• Experience in Equipment Engineering

• Workshop experience

• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols

Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent. Candidates with Level 2 working towards Level 3 will also be considered.

• Registration as a Pat Tester

• Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
